About Luke

Luke McIvor completed his articles at Blaze IP and now works there as an associate and trademark agent trainee, having been called to the bar in 2023. While studying law at the University of Leicester, his interest in intellectual property was sparked by a guest presentation on video game law, letting him combine an interest in entertainment and technology with a legal career. He volunteered to assist self-represented litigants during his studies, and after graduating in 2021 celebrated with a cross-Canada drive from Oakville, Ontario to Victoria, British Columbia. Luke holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester (2021), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McMaster University (2019), and a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation. He belongs to the Hamilton Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, and the College of Patent Agents and Trademark Agents.
