About Luke

Luke A. Johnson is the founder of L. Johnson Law Group, focused on charity and non-profit law. He advises charities, non-profit organizations, businesses and individuals on charity law, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates, including charity applications, CRA compliance audits, real estate transactions, governance reviews and estate planning. He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2008 and worked for sixteen years at De Jager Volkenant, a charity law firm, becoming a partner there before founding his own firm in 2024. Johnson completed his law degree at the University of British Columbia in 2007, where he volunteered with the student legal advice program and took part in the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot, and holds an undergraduate degree in communications and English literature from Trinity Western University. He has worked with organizations across the voluntary sector, including churches, care facilities, private foundations, housing providers, schools and international development agencies.
