About Loretta

Loretta J. Pete Lambert is a Cree lawyer from the Little Pine Cree Nation, in Treaty 6 territory. She holds a Juris Doctor along with degrees in education, and previously taught at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels while holding professional teaching certificates from Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. She managed and coordinated the creation of the Cree Dictionary website, archiving the Cree language with input from academics at First Nations University of Canada and the University of Alberta. Loretta has served as an elected board member of the Greater Catholic School Division and an appointed board member of the Many Nations Cooperative Board. Her practice focuses on Aboriginal and family law, wills and estates, and criminal law.
