About Liam

Liam Kelly is a commercial litigator with a general civil litigation practice focused on commercial lease enforcement and real estate litigation, appearing at all levels of court in Alberta and before various tribunals. From 2012 to 2022 he volunteered teaching a course on residential landlord law, and he chaired the Strathcona County Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. Liam earned his LLB with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2006 and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2007. He has co-taught an advocacy course at the University of Alberta Law School since 2018 and speaks regularly on commercial lease enforcement for the Building Owners and Managers Association. Outside of his practice, he provides pro bono work for minor hockey associations and enjoys a range of hobbies with his family.
