He has served as an arbitrator since 2011, handling commercial disputes as both sole arbitrator and panel member in Canadian, U.S., and international matters. Maerov is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Qualified Arbitrator of the ADR Institute of Canada, and serves as Director and Treasurer of the Western Canada Commercial Arbitration Society. He is on the rosters of ADRBC, the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee, VanIAC, ICDR Canada, FINRA, and NFA, and is the immediate past chair of VanIAC.
