About Leo
Leo Adler is the founder and senior member of Leo Adler Law, a firm focused on criminal, quasi-criminal, and international regulatory matters, including extradition, mutual legal assistance, and the repatriation of Canadians serving foreign sentences. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1975 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School and earning a B.A. in political science and sociology from McGill University. His practice has been exclusively criminal and international criminal law, and he has conducted trials and appeals up to the Supreme Court of Canada, with several of his cases reported as legal precedents. Adler is an adjunct professor of International Criminal Law at Osgoode Hall Law School and served on the Cross-Cultural Roundtable on National Security from 2005 to 2015. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Forensic Science, the Criminal Lawyers Association, the International Bar Association, and other international legal organizations, and has published and commented widely on forensic evidence, criminal justice, and national security issues.
