About Lena

Lena Muratkina is a lawyer at Velawcity Legal Counsel, based in downtown Vancouver, where she represents clients across British Columbia in the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and professional regulatory tribunals including the BC Financial Services Authority. Her practice covers business disputes and litigation, commercial law, and family law, including contractual, corporate, and real property disputes. She moved to Vancouver in 2009 after working in various legal support roles and became a member of the Law Society of British Columbia in 2023. Before that she lived and worked in Ireland, the United States, and the Netherlands, and practised law in Russia, where she was called to the bar in 1998. She also holds a Master of Laws obtained in 2005 and a Federation of Law Societies of Canada NCA Certificate obtained in 2021.
