About Larissa
Larissa Sleva studied criminology with honours at Simon Fraser University before moving to Australia, where she earned a Juris Doctor from Bond University Law School in 2016 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2017. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2017 and the High Court of Australia in 2018, practicing family and criminal law there, including family violence matters, before returning to Canada and being called to the bar in British Columbia in 2022. She now practices family law at Connect, handling separation, property and debt division, support, and parenting matters, and is active in the Women Lawyers Forum's mentoring program and with Amici Curiae, a trauma-informed access-to-justice service.
