About Kyle

Kyle Donnelly is a partner at MLT Aikins LLP, practising competition law with a focus on transactional matters, regulatory notifications and approvals, government investigations, and antitrust litigation. He also advises on foreign investment review under the Investment Canada Act, communications law, transportation law, and pharmaceutical regulation. Donnelly previously served a term with the Competition Bureau's Legal Services unit at the Department of Justice Canada, representing the Commissioner of Competition in merger reviews and abuse-of-dominance inquiries. His matters have included advising Videotron in the Rogers-Shaw/Freedom Mobile transaction and Tervita Corporation in its merger with Secure Energy Services. He received the Competition Bureau's Deputy Commissioner Merit Award in 2025 and is recognized in Who's Who Legal: Canada and Legal 500 Canada.
