About Kobi

Kobi Dorenbush practices corporate finance, M&A, and real estate law from Segev LLP's Toronto office. He spent more than twenty years working internationally in financial services and investment funds, including as a senior officer at international banks and trust companies between 2011 and 2017, followed by a stint as a director at Promontory Financial Group, an IBM company specializing in financial services consulting. His work sits at the intersection of traditional banking and emerging financial technology, and he has been involved in several startups in real estate lending and fintech. Kobi advises businesses on capital planning, including public offerings, reverse takeovers, and private equity, as well as on operations and risk management. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist with ACAMS and has particular expertise in international and correspondent banking. He holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto.
