About Khalid

Khalid Akram is the founding lawyer at Akram Law, based in Calgary, and focuses exclusively on criminal defence, handling charges including assault, drug offences, theft, and fraud. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2014. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2015 and in Alberta in 2023. Before moving into private criminal defence practice, he served as an adjudicator with Tribunals Ontario and as an instructor at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law. He offers services in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, and structures his fees as flat rates with payment plans available.
