About Kaysi

Fagan practises criminal defence in Calgary, defending charges ranging from minor theft to first-degree murder, and has appeared at every level of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada. She began her career at INTERPOL headquarters in Lyon, France, before returning to Canada and training under Patrick C. Fagan, Q.C. She has been called to the bar in both Alberta and British Columbia and takes cases across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories. Since 2018 she has been a sessional instructor teaching Advanced Criminal Law at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law, receiving the 2024 Sessional Teaching Excellence Award, and she was named to Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 list in 2012. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario along with LL.M. degrees from New York University and the National University of Singapore, and is conversational in French and Spanish.
