About Katya
Katya Richardson earned her Juris Doctor from Western University in London, Ontario, where she volunteered at a legal aid clinic and successfully appealed a decision at the Social Benefits Tribunal. During a summer break, she interned with the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women in Bangkok, Thailand, conducting legal research and helping coordinate an international workshop for legal aid clinics assisting trafficking victims. Katya was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2018 and has focused her practice primarily on family law, obtaining orders for exclusive occupancy of the family home, protection orders, spousal and child support, parenting arrangements, and interim asset distribution. She also resolves cases through mediation and arbitration and offers unbundled legal services for clients who wish to represent themselves on some level.
