Scott Hadford is a criminal defence lawyer in Lethbridge who practises across Southern Alberta's circuit points, appearing before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. Born and raised in southern Alberta, he practiced corporate law in the United States for eight years, including professional liability, malpractice and bad-faith insurance litigation, insurance defence, and personal injury claims, and was licensed in Arizona, Utah, and Idaho before returning home and being called to the Alberta Bar in 2008. Scott has also practiced some family law and represented Indigenous clients through the Indian Residential School settlement process in southern Alberta. He founded and owns Hadford Defence Group, and is a founding member and the Vice President and Treasurer of the Southern Alberta Defence Lawyers' Association, as well as a member of the Lethbridge Bar Association, the Alberta Criminal Trial Lawyers' Association, and the Criminal Defence Lawyers' Association. He volunteers with Lethbridge Legal Guidance and through the Law Society of Alberta's mentorship programs, and received the Canadian Bar Association's 2026 Distinguished Service Award for Service to the Pro Bono Legal Service.
