About Judith
Judith Holzman has practiced family law since her call to the bar in 1978 and works as both a mediator and a collaborative lawyer. She attended the University of Toronto before entering Osgoode Hall Law School on a Reuben Wells Leonard scholarship, graduating in 1976 at a time when women made up a small share of her class. After five years with small firms, she opened her own practice in 1983. She spent over a decade volunteering to teach resolution techniques at the Toronto Superior Court and served for years as a director of the charity New Directions. Judith also helped shape amendments to the Family Law Act and Divorce Act addressing religious divorce coercion, and spent four and a half years as a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Newmarket/York Region Court.
