About Jose
Jose Soto is a partner at Pactum Law who is a qualified barrister and solicitor in both Chile and Canada. He holds an LLB with Chilean bar admission and a JD from the University of Alberta. His practice focuses on family law and divorce, including parenting, mobility, child and spousal support, property division, grandparents' rights, emergency protection orders, and restraining orders; he previously practised immigration law, including work with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and the Refugee Appeal Division. He has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
