About Jonathan

Jonathan Adams is a lawyer practicing in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, focusing on corporate and commercial matters, real estate transactions, and wills and estates. He advises clients starting new businesses on share structuring, option plans and shareholder agreements, and supports corporate transactions including financings, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganizations. His real estate work covers residential and commercial financing agreements and conveyancing, and he also advises on wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal care directives. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick in 2022, where he served as president of the Black Law Students' Association and the French Club and volunteered with the Pro Bono Wills Program, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from Concordia University. Before law school he worked as a registered investment and insurance advisor and securities trader. He articled and worked at a Halifax law firm before founding J. Adams Law in 2025, and offers his services in both English and French.
