About Jon

Jon Feldman practices at Goodmans with a focus on shareholder activism and has taken part in a number of high-profile proxy contests, representing both dissident shareholders and boards of directors. He also provides strategic advice in litigation matters that call for corporate and securities law knowledge. Before joining Goodmans in 2004, Jon was an associate in the M&A group of White & Case LLP in New York, where he worked on a wide range of M&A transactions. He frequently writes and speaks on developments in the Canadian M&A market, including the growth of shareholder activism. Jon is active in the community, serving as Chair of the Baycrest Foundation Board of Directors and on the board of the York School, and he co-founded the Barrie to Baycrest bike ride benefiting Baycrest hospital. He has also served as an adjunct professor and as president of the Alumni Association at the University of Toronto Law School.
