John Wonnacott is an associate at Sioui Mitts Seufert and a fifth-generation Quinte native who has practised criminal law for more than 31 years. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Carleton University in 1978 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1982, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1984. He was also called to the Bar of Nunavut in 2003 and spent two years as a public defender representing the Inuit population before returning to Belleville in 2005. His practice focuses on defending charges including impaired driving, assault, sexual assault, and homicide.
