About Mike

Mike Pretsell is the managing partner and senior trial counsel at PD Legal in Belleville, representing individuals and small businesses before civil and criminal courts. He founded the firm's predecessor in 1999 after military service and time at a litigation firm, and previously served as a deputy judge of the Small Claims Court. He has held leadership roles including Director of the Ontario Deputy Judges' Association and past chair of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' long-term disability section, and is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Criminal Lawyers' Association, and the Hastings County and Quinte Criminal Lawyers associations.
