About John
John Manning provides legal advice in real estate, corporate and commercial law, wills, powers of attorney, and estates. His real estate practice covers residential purchase and sale transactions as well as commercial real estate work for institutional and private lenders, and he advises Nanaimo-area businesses and developers on strata developments and residential subdivisions. In his wills and estates practice, he handles estate planning, trusts, and estate administration, and represents executors and trustees in probate matters; he is a long-time contributor to the Probate Practice Manual published by the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1985 and his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1989, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990 after articling with a Vancouver law firm. He moved to Nanaimo in 1992 and is active in the community, serving as President of the Board of the Nanaimo & District Museum.
