About John

John Drayton's practice is litigation-based, with an emphasis on the forestry and motor transport industries, and he has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and before many administrative tribunals, as well as in mediations and arbitrations. He has practised law in Kamloops since 1987, and in 1994 established his own law corporation, Drayton Law Firm, which is now part of Gibraltar Law Group. John holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of British Columbia. He follows a family tradition in law: his great-grandfather practised law in Vancouver from 1906 to 1956, and his grandmother began practising in 1932, when it was uncommon for women to do so.
