About John

John Armstrong is an estates and trusts lawyer who established Armstrong Estate Law in 2012. He provides estate planning and administration counsel to personal representatives and acts as trustee for private trusts. He was called to the Bar of Alberta in 1965 and was named King's Counsel in 1987. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of England and Wales, and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and is a life member of the Estate Planning Council of Calgary. He has also been active in the local community, including as a former trustee of the Calgary Health Trust, Senator of the University of Calgary, and director of the Calgary Stampede Foundation, and currently serves as a director of the Scouts Canada Foundation, the Chinook Scout Foundation, the Trinity Place Foundation of Alberta, and the Harry B. and Martha Cohen Foundation.
