About John

John A. Myers practices intellectual property protection and enforcement, including copyrights, trademarks, domain names, trade secrets and patent litigation, and has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada and international bodies including the World Intellectual Property Organization. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1991 and the British Columbia Bar in 2025, after earning his J.D. from the University of Manitoba and his B.A. from the University of Winnipeg. John has chaired the firm's Intellectual Property Group since 1997 and has held leadership roles with the Canadian International Pharmacy Association and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. He has been selected for The Best Lawyers™ in Canada in Intellectual Property Law since 2012 and received the Richard J. Scott Award in 2017 for his public interest advocacy.
