About Joe

Joe Mattes was born in Heidelberg, Germany and raised in Waterloo Region. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1980 and a Bachelor of Laws from Western University in 1983, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1985. He practised law in Toronto and was a partner in a Waterloo law firm before establishing Matteslaw, and his main areas are corporate and commercial law, wills, and estate administration and business succession planning.
