About Joe
Joe Hoffman is a partner in the Municipal and Land Development Group at Goodmans. He specializes in municipal law, focusing on private sector clients across Ontario, and primarily represents real estate developers on planning applications for in-fill intensification projects in urban areas. His work covers official plan and zoning by-law amendments, site plan applications, minor variance approvals, heritage issues, inclusionary zoning, parkland conveyance matters, development charges, and urban boundary expansion. Joe appears regularly before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body, the Committee of Adjustment, and municipal councils across Ontario, and has also appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He sits on NAIOP's Government Relations Committee and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, volunteering with the UrbanPlan program in Toronto-area high schools.
