About Jennifer
Jennifer Tremblay-Hall is a sole practitioner based in Sault Ste. Marie. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Laurentian University in 1996 and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1999, articling with the Superior Court of Justice's Northeast Region in Sudbury. During her articles, she assisted Justice Stephen O'Neill on the precedent-setting appellate decision in R. v. Powley, later upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada, which established a framework for Metis rights in Canada. Called to the bar in 2001, she is recognized as an early female criminal defence lawyer in Sault Ste. Marie. Her practice today centres on criminal law, civil law and Aboriginal law.
