About Jennifer

Jennifer A. Rowbotham is a Vancouver collaborative divorce lawyer and accredited family law mediator, and the owner of Resolve Family Law. She helps clients resolve family law issues, including property and debt division, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and separation, cohabitation, and marriage agreements, outside of court through collaborative family law, mediation, and negotiation. She began her career in corporate and technology law before training in collaborative law and mediation in 2002 and 2003, then practiced family law, parent/teen mediation, and child protection law as counsel for the Director of Child, Family and Community Service starting in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Calgary (1996) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta (1999). Rowbotham is an Accredited Family Law Mediator with the Law Society of BC, a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law Subsection and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, and an instructor at the Justice Institute of BC and the Professional Legal Training Course.
