About Jelena

Jelena Buac has exclusively practised family law since 2015, first at a large full-service firm and then as a partner and co-founder of Family Lawyers Collective LLP. Buac prioritizes responsiveness and clear communication with clients, with a particular interest in cases involving professional corporations, self-employed individuals, and family businesses. Buac favours a resolution-oriented approach, working toward settlements outside of court where possible, and believes in the effectiveness of negotiation and mediation, while providing guidance through litigation when needed. Buac earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor in 2011 and a Juris Doctor from Western University in 2014. Buac has served as an executive committee member and treasurer with the Middlesex Family Law Association and as a committee member supporting the London Health Sciences Centre Board of Directors.
