About Jeffrey

Jeffrey Sack, K.C. is counsel to Dewart Gleason and a longstanding figure in Canadian labour law, acting as a union nominee on interest arbitration boards and as a negotiator for physicians and hospital residents. As a litigator he argued the Lavigne case at the Supreme Court of Canada, which upheld the validity of the Rand formula, and the first case establishing a Charter right to strike. He is an adjunct professor of international labour law at the University of Toronto and Associate Editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal.
