About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Alpert is a partner in the Banking & Financial Services group at Torkin Manes, with more than four decades of experience acting for banks and other lenders in bilateral and syndicated loan transactions. He also represents institutional and private lenders and a range of borrowers in commercial loans secured by real estate and personal property, and advises on asset-based lending and receivables purchase financing. Jeffrey served as a director and officer of the Canadian Business Law Journal for over 30 years and has published widely on business law topics, including factoring and the Personal Property Security Act. He earned his LLB from the University of Toronto in 1977 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1979.
