About Jean-Michel

Jean-Michel Michaud is originally from Edmundston, New Brunswick. He earned a diploma in Police Techniques with distinction from CCNB's Edmundston campus in 2013, followed by a Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in criminology with a minor in history (2016) and a Bachelor of Arts in history (2017), both from the University of Ottawa. He returned to school in 2020 and completed his Juris Doctor at the Université de Moncton in 2023. After articling with Bourque, Voyer & Cie, he was admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 2024 and now offers bilingual services in criminal, penal, real estate, and estate law. Before studying law, he served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 2014 to 2020, retiring as a commissioned officer with the rank of Lieutenant, and has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 2020. He has taught criminal law and justice system courses at CCNB's Edmundston campus since September 2023 and has served on the appeal committee for licenses and administrative penalties under the Fish and Seafood Processing Act since 2023.
