About Jean-Guy

Jean-Guy Lacasse founded Lacasse Avocats after more than 25 years at large and small firms, and handles family litigation, civil law, construction law, and business matters. An undergraduate background in geology and experience as in-house counsel for Ressources Ste-Geneviève and Mines Vauquelin between 1988 and 1997 contributed to expertise in securities and mining law; Lacasse later served as a director of Mines Vauquelin Ltée and of Ressources Majescor Inc. Lacasse was a founding member of the Association du Jeune Barreau de Longueuil, serving as its president from 1997 to 1998, and is a member of the Association des avocates et avocats en droit de la famille du Québec. The LL.B. was completed at Université de Montréal in 1990, with call to the bar in 1991.
