About Jany

Jany Tessier was called to the Quebec Bar in 2019 and is a shareholder associate at Bélanger Longtin, concentrating her practice on professional liability. She represents clients before Quebec's judicial forums in civil and professional responsibility, health law, labour law and insurance law. Before law school she completed international studies with an NGO internship, and during her studies she volunteered with a legal clinic for the National Pro Bono Student Network and won an excellence award in obligations and civil liability. Tessier holds an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal (2017) and a B.Sc. in international studies from the same institution (2015). She has co-authored annual publications in JurisClasseur Québec (LexisNexis, 2021-2024) on nursing staff civil liability and presented on recent developments in health law in 2024.
