About James
Jim practiced law for over 35 years, with particular emphasis on municipal and land use planning law, including appearances before the Ontario Municipal Board on behalf of municipalities, property owners, and other interested parties. He also had an extensive solicitor practice in wills and estates, corporate matters, and real estate, acting for large and small corporations, charitable and non-profit organizations, real estate developers, and individuals. He graduated from the University of Ottawa Law School in 1975, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1977, and became a partner in 1981. Since January 2016, he has continued his practice at Bell Baker as counsel.
