About James

James grew up near Medicine Hat, Alberta, and went to university in Edmonton, where he met his wife Claranne. He and his family later settled in Central Alberta, where James served on the local school board and the Lacombe municipal council. He entered the practice of law in Red Deer alongside a lawyer known for one of the widest-ranging general practices in Alberta, and after over three decades of experience continues to follow that same path, prioritizing service to people, their families, and their businesses, and valuing independence from institutions, organizations, and branches of government.
