About James

James was called to the Alberta Bar in March 2025 following his articles with Forum Law LLP, during which he gained hands-on experience in family law. He now handles guardianship disputes, adult guardianship, adoption and surrogacy services, protection orders, divorce, common-law separation, parenting arrangements, child support, and family property division, and has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of King's Bench. He completed legal work with the University of Newcastle's Legal Centre focusing on family law clients while at law school.
