About Jacqueline
Jacqueline Lewis founded Lewis & Associates LLP in 1991 and has served as its managing partner since. She has spent nearly three decades representing refugees before the Refugee Protection Division and challenging negative decisions before the Federal Court of Canada, and has taught immigration and refugee law at Carleton University and Western University. Jacqueline earned her Bachelor of Arts with honours from York University in 1985, her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1989, and a Master of Laws in Administrative Law from Osgoode Hall in 2001. In 2020 she registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant with the Istanbul Bar Association and received the Law Society of Ontario's Laura Legge Award, and she chairs the board of directors of Egale Canada.
