About Carla
Carla Sturdy is a senior partner at Lewis & Associates LLP who joined the firm in 1996, when it consisted of just a few lawyers. Over more than 25 years of practice, she has represented thousands of refugee claimants before Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board and is also experienced in Immigration Appeal and Refugee Appeal Division matters, Federal Court judicial review applications, and humanitarian and compassionate and pre-removal risk assessment applications. Carla earned a Bachelor of Arts with honours from the University of Toronto's Trinity College in 1988 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1993.
