About Hui
Hui is one of two lawyers at Liu and Wu Law Office, which she runs in business partnership with her husband Lei, focusing on small business, wills and estates, civil dispute resolution, and real estate. She immigrated to Canada from China around 2000 and originally trained in electrical engineering, earning a B.Eng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1992 and an M.Eng from the same university in 1995, and worked for high-tech companies in Kanata before turning to law. She earned her J.D. from the University of Alberta in 2008 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2009 and to the Bar in New York State in 2011, having previously articled and practiced with Smart & Biggar, a Canadian intellectual property law firm. She's a current or past member of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association, the New York State Unified Court System, and the American Bar Association.
