About Howard

Howard Hampton's practice centres on First Nations issues in resource development, advising mining, forestry and transportation companies as well as First Nations on land claims matters in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario and Nunavut. He previously served as Ontario's Attorney General and as Minister of Natural Resources, where he oversaw passage of the Class Proceedings Act, 1992 and the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. He is the author of Public Power: The Fight for Publicly Owned Electricity.
