About Greg

Greg Lindsey is the Managing Partner of Linmac LLP, where he has practised at the intersection of tax and estate law for more than 25 years. His work centers on tax-optimized strategies for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and business owners, spanning family and private business tax planning, succession and intergenerational wealth transfers, and cross-border tax planning. He also acts on exit and monetization transactions, investment structuring, and the formation of private equity and hedge funds, including inbound and outbound financings. His matters have included leading a team of more than 20 lawyers on the formation of private equity funds that raised over $1 billion for the energy sector, and advising on the spin-out of more than $1 billion in natural gas assets to a publicly traded income trust. He holds both Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations, and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He has also taught tax law as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary.
