About Grant
Grant was raised on a family dairy farm outside Grunthal and studied agricultural economics at the University of Manitoba before entering law school, graduating from the Faculty of Law in 2001 and being called to the Manitoba Bar in 2002. He articled and practised with a Winnipeg firm before returning to southeastern Manitoba, where his practice covers real estate, wills and estates, litigation and agricultural law. Grant was appointed King's Counsel by the Province of Manitoba in August 2023 and serves as President of the Manitoba Law Reform Commission. He was a Bencher with the Law Society of Manitoba from 2014 to 2023, including a term as President of the Law Society, and has chaired the Manitoba Health Appeal Board and served as an adjudicator with the federal Pipeline Arbitration Committee.
