About Germaine

Germaine Fields is legal counsel at Mint Legal, practicing in employment law, family law, and corporate transactions. She emphasizes collaboration before litigation and weighs the cost and benefit of each option for her clients. Fields has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, and has experience representing clients in private arbitrations. Before joining Mint Legal, she worked at several boutique law firms, in the Crown Prosecutor's Office, and at several major oil and gas companies. She holds a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Calgary. She is a member of the Association of Women in Law, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Alberta Wilderness Association, and serves on the board of directors of the Solace Grief Support Society.
