About Gerald

Gerald Yemensky was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1986 and built a private family law practice in Ottawa, formerly with Campbell Clark Yemensky. Before retiring, he focused on family law arbitration, mediation, and collaborative family law, and served as President of Collaborative Practice Ottawa and as a Director of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. He was a founding director of the Children's Bridge, Canada's largest international adoption facilitator, and past president of its philanthropic foundation. Gerald has taught family law and civil procedure at Algonquin College and lectured at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. He is now retired and no longer practising.
