About Gary

Gary W. Whittle co-founded Whittle & Company, Lawyers in Whitehorse in 1995 and continues to practise there. He earned an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1991 and in Yukon in 1992. Before law school he completed a B.Sc. in biology at McMaster University, a B.A. in psychology at Carleton University, and a Master of Environmental Studies in northern development at York University. His practice covers administrative law, Aboriginal and constitutional law, and Yukon First Nation issues, along with corporate law, commercial and construction disputes, human rights, employment matters, contracts, defamation, municipal law, and mining law. He has appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and various tribunals.
