About Luke

Luke Faught is a Yukon criminal defence lawyer based in Whitehorse, practising under the business name Whitehorse Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2006 and his Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2009, studying under criminal law scholars including Don Stuart and Alan Manson. He articled at the Crown Law Office (Criminal) in Toronto and then worked as a Crown Prosecutor in Alberta for four years before moving into criminal defence work in 2013. He served as Senior Criminal Counsel with the Yukon Legal Services Society from 2018 to 2020 and worked at Tucker Carruthers in Whitehorse from 2020 to 2025 before establishing Whitehorse Law. His writing includes commentary for Yukon News on impaired driving law and anti-discrimination housing law, as well as a book review published in the Northern Review.
