About Gagan

Gagan Nahal practises exclusively in criminal defence law, representing clients in Surrey and throughout British Columbia, as well as in Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario. He articled with a high-profile criminal lawyer of the British Columbia Criminal Defence Bar before starting his own practice immediately after being called to the Bar of British Columbia. His practice covers a wide range of criminal matters, including assault, drug offences, driving offences, theft, fraud, and more serious charges such as murder and kidnapping. He frequently represents clients who are not Canadian citizens and is familiar with the immigration consequences a criminal conviction can carry, including inadmissibility. He received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025 for excellence in his field and service to the community. He is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
