Frank Marrocco, K.C. is Senior Counsel to Stockwoods LLP. He spent thirty-three years as leading counsel on prominent cases across Canada before being elected a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario and later serving as its Treasurer in 2003. He was appointed a judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in 2005 and rose to Associate Chief Justice in 2013, a role he held until retiring from the bench in 2021 and returning to private practice. In 2018 he was appointed Commissioner of the Town of Collingwood Judicial Inquiry, and in 2020 he was chosen by the Province of Ontario to lead the Long-Term Care COVID-19 Commission. His return to practice focuses on mediation, arbitration and advisory work, drawing on earlier career highlights that included the Walkerton public inquiry and the Bre-X securities prosecution.
