About Felix
Felix Tang is a business lawyer with an extensive background in computer and electrical engineering. He previously worked at Gowlings in the business and intellectual property groups, where his technology expertise covered multimedia, graphics, networking and real-time embedded systems, including work on mobile phone co-processors, machine vision cameras and wireless networking. He holds a BASc in Engineering Science and an MASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, where his thesis explored wearable computing, machine vision and digital image processing, and he won the Best Open Source Software Competition Award at the 2005 ACM Multimedia conference. Felix completed his LLB with an Option in Law and Technology at the University of Ottawa, where he was an assistant editor of the Law and Technology Journal and worked as a research assistant to Professors Ian Kerr and Michael Geist. He has interned with Exploit Technologies in Singapore, the Department of Justice Canada's Trade Law Bureau, the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic, and the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington, D.C.
